Gwesty’r Gwernan Hotel was a small country hotel with its own 12 acre fishing lake 2 miles out of Dolgellau at the foot of Fox’s Path on Cadair Idris. Fishing, by boat only, was for wild brown trout, rainbows and the occasional sea trout. Permits are no longer available – the hotel is being converted into a private house, with no plans to allow fishing.
