Dock Feeder Canal Cardiff - Fishing in Wales
Cardiff dock feeder fishing

Dock Feeder Canal Cardiff

Located in Cardiff City centre, in Bute Park, The Dock Feeder Canal holds a surprising variety of coarse fish, including barbel, chub, bream and perch. There are also a few brown trout and jack pike present.

The venue is locally considered free to fish, from where it branches off from the river Taff, through the grounds of Bute Park and Cardiff Castle. A freshwater rod licence must be held.

A short rod is advised due to undergrowth and limited swims.
