Porthcawl has fishing from Irongate Point, which is between Hutchwns Point and Porthcawl Point with fishing onto a mixed sand and rock bottom. Fish caught in the Porthcawl area include gurnard, bass, rays, pollack, mullet, conger, mackerel. For Irongate Point, travel south on the A4106 in Porthcawl and go straight on across a roundabout. Carry on along the promenade past the harbour. Continue up the Esplanade. Roadside parking is available by the Point. Porthcawl also has fishing from a pier, several beaches and rock marks.
