Lavernock Point is a rock mark, fishing onto rough ground. Ranny Pool is just to the north, again fishing onto rough ground. Fish include smooth-hound, whiting, mullet, cod, bass, conger, pouting, flounders. For Lavernock Point and Ranny Pool, turn off the B4267, Lavernock Road, into Fort Road just south of Penarth. Follow this down to the end, where there is a small car park near the point.
