Seiont Gwyrfai and Llyfni Fishing Society: Llyn Padarn

Llyn Padarn is a glacially formed lake in Snowdonia and is an example of a moraine dammed lake. The lake is approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) long (about 240 acres) and at its deepest point is 94 feet (29 m) deep, and is one of the largest natural lakes in Wales.

Brown trout are the resident species and the Char (Torgoch) are normally in the deeper water.

Perch are also now present in Padarn, these are quite large having been caught from 1.5lb to over 2lb in recent times.

Purchasing a ticket with the Fishing Passport for this Llyn also allows you to fish Llyn Cwellyn and Cwm Silyn on the same day, as well as the local rivers.

The lake is any method.

Boat hire can be arranged with the Cwellyn Arms.
