Seiont Gwyrfai and Llyfni Fishing Society: Llyn Cwellyn

Seiont Gwyrfai and Llyfni Fishing Society has fishing on Llyn Cwellyn, large natural lake.

The fishing here is truly outstanding, with the free-rising wild brown trout rivalling any to be had elsewhere within these islands.

The trout average 8oz to 1lb.

Cwellyn is a relatively large lake of around 220 acres and designated a Special Area of Conservation. Because of its depth, it supports one of Wales’s few populations of Arctic char.

Purchasing a ticket for Cwellyn with the Fishing Passport also allows you to fish Llyn Padarn and Cwm Silyn on the same day.

Day tickets and boat hire can also be arranged through the nearby Cwellyn hotel.
