Caerphilly and District Angling Association has fishing on Castle Lakes, which are a series of lakes, formerly the moat of Caerphilly castle, around 25 acres in area. Fish include roach, crucian carp, chub, rudd, tench, eels, carp, bream and perch.
The club also has fishing on the River Rhymney for grayling, chub and dace. There are also brown trout, which must not be purposely fished for and any caught must be returned to the water immediately.
