Of their former waters, Llyn Maelog can still be fished, day tickets are available in Wayside Stores Spar shop, near the lake.

Ynys Mon Angling Association had coarse fishing on several Anglesey stillwaters.

Llyn Tacan: the lake depths vary between four and nine feet. Species found here include roach, rudd, perch, tench, crucian carp and wild carp.

Llyn Llwynog or Holyhead Breakwater Country Park Lake: this is a man made, stream fed lake with depths of up to nine feet and has around twenty pegs. Species found here are carp up to twenty pounds, bream, roach, rudd, orfe and perch, tench to 5lbs, crucian carp.

Llyn Maelog at Rhosneigr is around 65 acres in total with depths from three to ten feet. It is a designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Fishing is right bank only. Species found here are pike, bream, roach, rudd and perch.
