The Bryn-y-pys Estate organises a salmon fishing syndicate with seasonal rods to let on middle reaches of the River Dee between Erbistock and Bangor-on-Dee (approximately 7 miles of double bank). Essentially there are four beats with only two rods per beat. Each week the fishermen rotate onto another beat. The five year average is forty salmon and introductory advice is available from one of the fishermen. Most of the fishing is concentrated on salmon but the river also holds a good stock of brown trout as well as grayling which the River Dee is renowned for. The number of sea trout has improved over recent years as well. The water fishes best towards the end of the season with the majority of fish being caught between August and October. All fishing to be done in accordance with the Welsh Byelaws. For further information, please contact Tim RosselliĀ – contact details below.
