Rhymney and District Angling Society has fishing has fishing on Bryn Brith Pond and Bute Town Reservoir. These lakes have pike, carp, roach, rudd, perch, tench, bream and gudgeon. Club waters also include Bute Town, Fochriw Feeder Pond, Deri lake, Cwm Darran Park Lake, two stretches on the Wye and a stretch on the Monmouth & Brecon canal.
