Pontypool Angling Association

Pontypool Angling Association has the following Waters available to fish:

Monmouthshire and Brecon canal – Bridge 55-57 Horse and Jockey to Wern farm. The canal has perch, bream, silver fish and the odd pike. The stretch from bridge 77 – 79 will be added to club waters from January 2022.

Afon lwyd – Ponypool area from Chapel lane to Abersychan fire station. Afon Lwyd has wild brown trout, season 3rd March to 30th September. No spinning for trout as per NRW rules. C&R only.

Olway brook near Usk – Fishing from the mouth to the road bridge above the Olway inn pub. Olway brook holds trout, eels, dace and chub. No spinning for trout as per NRW rules. C&R only.

All tickets for 2024-2025 season and onwards will be sold online only, through the clubmate app.
