Penarth has fishing from a beach, which stretches from the pier northwards . It is sand and shingle, fishing onto a mixture of the same, with patches of mud and rock. Follow the signs to the pier, which is signposted from the town, there is car parking available. Walk north to the beach. Fish include whiting, mullet, cod, bass, conger, pouting, flounders. Penarth also has fishing from a pier, the harbour/marina and from several rock marks which are scattered around, fishing onto mixed ground, depending upon their location.
