Melynllyn is a remote 18 acre lake high in the Carneddau mountains of north Wales. Altitude here is 2094 feet. Melynllyn (the yellow lake) is shallow at one end with easy wading but quite deep near the cliffs. It holds many wild brown trout of 8oz, occasionally up to 2lb and possibly char, which were re-located here from llyn Peris.
