Llyn Maelog - Fishing in Wales

Llyn Maelog

Llyn Maelog at Rhosneigr is around 65 acres in total with depths from three to ten feet. The llyn is situated 200 yards from the beach with a caravan park on site. It’s a great place for all the family.

Species found here are pike, bream, roach, rudd and perch.

Llyn Maelog is a shallow, reed-fringed lake and another fantastic dead bait and lure water. Pike have been caught up to 25lb 2oz so it’s well worth a visit. Perch to 3lb.

It is a designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Fishing is right bank only (east bank)

Once part of Ynys Mon Angling club (which has folded) Day Tickets are still available from Spar Wayside stores near the lake, cost £5.
