Gwent Angling Society - Fishing in Wales

Gwent Angling Society

Gwent Angling Society has fishing on about 15 miles of water in South East Wales, primarily for game fish.

This includes several excellent trout and salmon beats on the middle/lower Usk, the upper River Sirhowy for trout and the River Llynfi, a tributary of the Wye, which has trout and grayling.

Gwent AS also has a beat on the River Wye at Wyastone Leys, which has salmon fishing and coarse fishing for barbel and chub.

To fish, anglers must join the club as full members. There may be a waiting list for membership currently, apply to the secretary for details. Day tickets are available, to guests of members.

The club has a shared beat on the Usk, Abergavenny Town. This beat can be booked online with the Fishing Passport.
