Groe Park and Irfon Angling Club has mixed coarse and game fishing on the River Wye. This part of the river has excellent wild brown trout and grayling, with salmon later in the season. Pike and chub are also present in good numbers. Barbel are also known to be in this stretch. Day tickets are available in the high street newsagents Conti in Builth Wells.
