Buckley Angling Association has fishing on the 5 acre Trap Pool. Species include roach, rudd, barbel, bream, tench, carp, chub and perch. We cater for pleasure anglers, beginners (with a well run coaching programme through the summer), disabled, with full disabled access to the water and the on site facilities and the match angler, with angling events running throughout the year. Membership and day tickets are available on the bank. North Wales club Buckley AA has developed five-acre Trap Pool into one of Wales’ best club waters, with a mixed stock of fish to appeal to all tastes, and a popular summertime coaching programme to encourage people to sample it and become members. A stone pathway and good disabled access show some of the investment made, as does the aeration system, run from solar panels, that has proved financially successful as well as protecting the fish. Over the course of 12 months the power generated from the panels not only safeguarded fish stocks, but provided excess electricity that was returned to the National Grid to earn the club a quarterly payment to boost funds.
