Broughton Bay - Fishing in Wales

Broughton Bay

Broughton Bay is a very difficult stretch of of coastline. It is a mixture of sand and rock, fishing onto similar. It has very dangerous undertows and rip tides. It is strongly advised that it only be fished at high tide with no wading.

Fish include smoothound, bass, mackerel, flatfish, whiting, codling, garfish, dogfish, wrasse, conger, bream, trigger fish, mullet, pollack, plaice.

Take the road to Fairy Hill, signposted off the A4118, and from there follow the Llangennith signs. In Llangennith take Burrows Lane to Broughton Farm. Parking is available here, followed by a gentle walk to the beach.
