Barry has fishing at Friar’s Point, which is a rock mark, fishing onto mainly clean ground.

Fish caught around Barry include bass, smoothounds, rays, conger. dabs, whiting, cod, mullet, pouting, flounder, plaice, wrasse.

For Friar’s Point, follow the signs for Barry Island. Turn right just before the fair ground. There is parking near the point and a gentle walk out to the point.

Barry also has beach fishing at Cold Knap, Whitmore Bay, Jacksons Bay, Little Island Bay and Watch House Bay. There is also wall fishing at the Old Harbour and the Docks and rock marks, another of the better known being Bendrick Rock.
