Fishing is free, with parking on nearby residential streets. Access is easy and suited to disabled or individuals with limited mobility.

Fish caught in Barry dock include bass, conger, whiting, cod, mullet and pollack. The Docks are signposted from the town.

Barry also has beach fishing at Cold Knap, Whitmore Bay, Jacksons Bay, Little Island Bay and Watch House Bay. There is also wall fishing at the Old Harbour and rock marks, two of the better known being Friar’s Point and Bendrick Rock.
