Aberavon Beach - Fishing in Wales
Aberavon beach and breakwater

Aberavon Beach

Aberavon Beach is mainly a sandy beach, fishing onto clean ground. There is also a breakwater, which you can fish off.

Fish include bass, flounder, mackerel, pouting, codling, dogfish, garfish, whiting, dabs, rays, smooth-hounds.

In Aberavon, follow the signs to the beach or to “Hollywood Park”, which is on the beach road. Plenty of parking opportunities off this road. One popular mark is opposite the Naval Club at the estuary end.

There are two estuaries at either end of the beach: the River Afan is on the left hand side, and the River Neath on the right. The Naval club is towards the River Neath end.
