Louis Noble
Originally from Shropshire where he learned to fly fish at an early age on the Severn, Louis has 60 years experience fly fishing all over the UK for a variety of species, trout and grayling being his favourites. Having lived in Wrexham for 40 years it’s understandable that his passion is the River Dee.
Ambition lead to him qualifying as an instructor and for 30 years has been an Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructor (APGAI) within GAIA ( Game Angling Instructors Association), also with the roles of Assessor and Mentor. In this time Louis has taught or guided countless anglers chiefly on the Dee earning a reputation for excellence.
In a lifetime totally absorbed by fly fishing he is a former editor for the Grayling Society and Fly Dresser’s Guild as well as contributing regularly to major magazines and several books.
He also has a reputation for being a highly skilled and authoritative fly dresser, specialising in traditional patterns.
