Angling Trust & Fish Legal 2025 Auction: Welsh Fishing Opportunities!

This event has become a key fundraiser over the past few years for the Angling Trust and Fish Legal. For 2025 they have worked hard to gather a selection of lots that will appeal to a wide a range of tastes and budgets.

All monies raised will help to continue Angling Trust’s work to protect and develop freshwater and marine fishing in Wales and England.

The 2025 auction is now LIVE with 8 Welsh fishing opportunities kindly donated by angling clubs and individuals. These are:

LOT 21: One week’s fishing on the rivers Ogmore and Ewenny

One week’s fishing on the Ogmore and Ewenny rivers for up to 2 people. 2 people on the same week. Lot designed to allow a friend or partner to accompany the winner.

LOT 24: Annual member Llwydiarth and Darlach AA

One year’s club membership to fish our Upper Severn Waters and Lake in the Welshpool area. Fishing from stages or roaming the banks for barbel chub and pike. Limited areas for trout and grayling fishing as well.

LOT 35: Season Ticket – Llynfi Valley AA

A full season game fishing on River Llynfi South Wales, a tributary of the Ogmore. Mainly Brown Trout, later some Sea Trout and Salmon. Fishing for mainly brown trout on 8 miles of river. Sea trout and salmon late on in the season are caught.

LOT 38: A day Grayling Fishing for two on the Welsh Dee

An exclusive day Grayling fishing for two on the club’s best stretch of the Welsh Dee near Corwen. Between the 18th October and 28th February. In accordance with Welsh Dee by laws for the river above the Horseshoe falls, fishing is by fly or trotted worm only (no maggots).

LOT 47: 2 Day tickets for Llandovery AA water on the river Towy

Two day tickets with access to all waters. Can be used by 1 angler for 2 days or 2 anglers fishing together on 1 day.

LOT 63: Weekend lake and river fishing for 2 – Taff Bargoed Angling Association

Two day pass for two anglers at Taff Bargoed Park, Trelewis, MTCBC. Catch and release all day, session ends after two fish are killed per angler. Fishing permitted between dawn and dusk, fly and worm only. Natural Brown Trout and stocked Rainbow.

LOT 82: A day’s fishing on the Nevern river in Pembrokeshire

Single bank fishing along most of its length,predominantly a sewin (sea trout) fishery but there are chances of hooking salmon. All methods are allowed but fly fishing at night gives most success of catching sewin.

LOT 96: Rhyl and St Asaph AA beats of the rivers Clwyd, Elwy and Aled

One day for 2 rods fishing for brown trout, sea trout and salmon on the Rhyl and St Asaph Angling Association beats of the rivers Clwyd, Elwy and Aled . The Association has 21 beats within easy reach of the North West of England. These beats are well known for their sea trout and good fish are caught each year. Advice on where to fish, tactics, etc will  be given by a committee member.
