Newport Angling Association has fishing on the River Wye near Symonds Yat.

The Wye has many coarse fish besides its famous salmon, barbel, pike, chub, roach and dace can all be caught.

The association also has fishing on Woodstock Pool, Morgans Pool and School Pool in the Newport area. All of these stillwaters hold good stocks of coarse fish, including carp, pike, roach etc.

It is understood the club is over subscribed and there is a long waiting list to join as a full member.

Day tickets however are currently available for the Wye Upper Symonds Yat beat only, exclusively through Angling Dreams website here.

NOTE: The day ticket only covers Upper Symonds Yat Wye stretch, not the stillwater fisheries or Bigsweir.
