Porthcawl: Porthcawl Point - Fishing in Wales

Porthcawl: Porthcawl Point

Porthcawl has fishing from Porthcawl Point, just to the west of the pier which fishes onto a mainly sandy bottom.

Fish caught in the Porthcawl area include gurnard, bass, rays, pollack, mullet, conger, mackerel.

Porthcawl Point is a short walk from the Pier, for which travel south on the A4106 in Porthcawl and go straight on across a roundabout. Carry on along the promenade past the harbour. There is some parking near the lifeboat station, past which the Pier is accessed. Otherwise there is plenty of roadside parking.

Porthcawl also has fishing from a pier, several beaches and rock marks.
