Barry has fishing at Watch House Bay, which is sandy with rocks either end, fishing onto mainly clean ground.

Fish caught around Barry include bass, smoothounds, rays, conger. dabs, whiting, cod, mullet, pouting, flounder, plaice, wrasse.

To reach Watch House Bay, follow the signs for Cold Knap. At the T-junction by the beach, turn left, follow the road round and park near the beach.

Barry also has beach fishing at Cold Knap, Whitmore Bay, Jacksons Bay and Watch House Bay. There is also wall fishing at the Old Harbour and the Docks and rock marks, two of the better known being Friar’s Point and Bendrick Rock.
