This 25 acre lake is fly fishing only and holds a good head of truly wild brown trout averaging around a pound but fish of several pounds are possible. It has also been lightly stocked with trout over the years to supplement the wild population, but is no longer necessary.

The lake is limed up to four times a year and the surrounding coniferous woodland is slowly being replaced by deciduous trees. The countryside here is simply stunning and there are fewer more remote places in Wales.

Vehicle access to this remote mountain lake is excellent being able to drive right up to the parking area at the water’s edge.
