There is an angling club with fishing on Shon Sheffrey’s reservoir near Trefil.

The reservoir was constructed in 1898.

The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and has some wild brown trout.

The club has a private membership, fishing is for members only.

The long established club is now known as Shon Sheffery’s Fisheries (formerly Tredegar Angling)
