Southerndown Dunraven Bay

Southerndown has fishing in Dunraven Bay and from Witch’s Point.

Dunraven Bay beach is sand and shingle, with fishing onto a mainly sandy bottom.

Witch’s Point is rocky ledges fishing onto a mainly sandy bed. Surges occur here, so care needs to be taken. Only for the very experienced.

Fish include rays, turbot, whiting, dabs, scad, bass, mackerel, codling.

Follow the “Llantwit Major” signs (A4265) off the A48 as it by-passes Bridgend. Follow the A4265 to St. Brides Major. Southerndown is signposted from here. Dunraven Bay is down the first lane on the left after entering Southerndown. Parking is available. For Witch’s Point, walk along the beach to the east.
