The Fishing Passport: River Usk (Trallong & Abercamlais) - Fishing in Wales

The Fishing Passport: River Usk (Trallong & Abercamlais)

**UPDATE**

Trallong beat is now Gwent Angling Society water, members only.

Abercamlais beat no longer allows public fishing on a day ticket.

This fishery comprises approximately a mile of mixed single & double bank upper Usk wild brown trout and salmon fishing, split into two half mile sections (there is a half mile gap between the two sections and no riverside access between the two ). Located between Sennybridge and Brecon, flowing over bedrock, with a series of distinctive pools and gutters, the fishery provides good nymph and dry fly fishing.

Access to the water is good although the wading is relatively difficult in places and studded soles are essential. The water offers excellent trout fishing a real chance of late season salmon given the right water conditions.

There is an approx. 25m walk to the river from the parking spot on the upper section.
