For Rest Bay, travel south on the A4106 in Porthcawl and go straight on across a roundabout. Carry on along the promenade past the harbour. Continue up the Esplanade, which changes names several times. Rest Bay is well signposted off this road. Parking is available.

Porthcawl also has fishing from a pier, several beaches and rock marks.
