Porthcawl: Pink Bay - Fishing in Wales

Porthcawl: Pink Bay

Porthcawl has fishing from Pink Bay, which is a quiet beach, a few minutes walk from Rest Bay. It has a steep pebble bank down onto a flat beach edged by a pink marbled rocky shoreline. Fishing is onto a mixed rocky and sandy bed.

Fish caught in the Porthcawl area include gurnard, bass, rays, pollack, mullet, conger, mackerel.

Pink Beach is accessed by walking westwards from Rest Bay. For Rest Bay, travel south on the A4106 in Porthcawl and go straight on across a roundabout. Carry on along the promenade past the harbour. Continue up the Esplanade, which changes names several times. Rest Bay is well signposted off this road. Parking is available.

Porthcawl also has fishing from a pier, several beaches and rock marks.
