New Quay has fishing from a breakwater, which fishes onto rocks close in and mainly sand further out. Fish include conger, bass, mullet, huss, plaice, garfish, mackerel, whiting, dabs, dogfish. The breakwater has some car parking available but it may be necessary to park in the main car park. Newquay also has fishing opportunities from several beaches, a pier, a breakwater, a harbour and rock marks, which are available at the ends of some beaches, fishing onto similar ground as the relevant beach.
