Monknash - Fishing in Wales

Monknash

Monknash is a sandy beach with rocks at either end. It fishes onto clean ground, apart from near the rocks, which is rough.

Fish include bass, codling, monkfish, ray, dogfish, smoothhound, turbot.

Take the B4265 west from Llantwit Major. Turn off on Llan Road, signposted “Marcross”, then very shortly turn right, signed for Monknash. Turn left at the T-junction just past Broughton, then first right down a lane. Car parking is available opposite the farm, followed by a gentle walk to the beach.
