Seiont Gwyrfai and Llyfni Fishing Society have fishing on Llyn Cwm Dwythwch. This is a fairly large lake, around 12 acres. It holds numerous wild brown trout from 6 to 12 inches in length, with the odd bigger fish. The fish are free rising and the lake fishes well on a ‘foul weather day’. The margins are quite shallow so waders are useful here. Access is via a track at the back of Llanberis, this is suitable for most normal cars, but a 4×4 may be advisable in poor weather. Parking is just below the lake by a ruined building next to the track. Walk to the lake is only 10 minutes up a gentle hill. Day tickets are available through Fishing Passport or Seiont Gwyrfai and Llyfni Fishing Society outlets, £20 covers all waters. Llyn Cwm Dwythwch is any method.
