Llandudno: Pigeon Holes - Fishing in Wales

Llandudno: Pigeon Holes

Llandudno has fishing from Pigeon Holes, which is on the east side of the Great Orme. It fishes onto a rough bottom, with deep water close in.

NB Care is needed as this is a difficult place and not for the novice, the lone fisherman or the less agile.

Fish caught around Llandudno include whiting, flatties, dogfish, cod, dabs, mackerel, bass, codling, plaice, flounders, smoothound, coalfish.

The Pigeon Holes mark is on the Great Orme. Go through the gate, which may be payable, and park in the lay-by near the second bench. Walk through the gap in the wall and down to the marks.

Llandudno also has fishing from North Shore and West Shore, plus a pier and rock marks, the most well known of which are probably Pigeon Holes, on the Great Orme and Angel Bay, on the east side of the Little Orme.
