Gwent AS has an upper River Monnow beat, located between Abergavenny and Pontrilas, which is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with wonderful views of Ysgyryd Fawr, aka, Skirrid. The River Monnow beat is a mixture of single and double-bank fishing of about 1 mile. The beat holds some of the most beautiful trout and grayling in South Wales and, thanks to the latter, also enables our members to fish during the winter months. Only full members can fish this beat, to apply for membership visit the club website for more details.
