UPDATE 2024: The association has folded. The fishing rights to both river and lake are now apparently in limbo and the council has not leased the rights to any other clubs. Glyncornel Angling Association had fishing on some 12 miles of the upper River Rhondda, sometimes called the Rhondda Fawr, a tributary of the Taff, for brown trout (no grayling or other species are present) The river is currently regarded as ‘free fishing’ as long as you have a rod licence. Season runs from March 3rd to September 30th on the Rhondda. The association also had fishing on Glyncornel Lake. No fishing is allowed on the lake by the council.
