Fachwen Pool offers Carp and Tench fishing in the Newtown area. Permits for fishing at Fachwen Pool are with Newtown AC. They have a Facebook page which can be contacted for information on permit vendors. As of Spring 2024, permits can be obtained from the Railway Arms in Newtown.
