Deganwy is on the Conwy estuary and has a steep shingle beach, fishing into a mixed shingle/silt bed. Fish caught include whiting, rockling, bass, dabs, flounders, rays, plaice, dogfish, codling. Salmon and sewin (sea trout) may also be available but fishing for them requires a licence. Deganwy is on the A548 between Llandudno and Conwy. The beach is signposted Traeth/Beach in the town. Parking can be difficult at popular times in the tourist season.
