Cwmbran Angling Association: River Lwyd - Fishing in Wales

Cwmbran Angling Association: River Lwyd

Cwmbran Angling Association has game fishing for wild brown trout on the River Lwyd, a tributary of the Usk.

Once heavily polluted, the Lwyd now has wild brown trout (no other species) and good fly life.

The Lwyd is fly or worm only, no spinning is allowed as per the NRW bylaws, which prohibit spinning on the entire Usk catchment. Season runs 3rd March to 30th September.

Enquiries can be made via the Facebook page.
