Commonwood Fishery is a carp and coarse fishery set in 60 acres of beautiful Welsh countryside near to Wrexham in NE Wales, The complex provides a variety of waters catering for all types of angler and all skill levels. The complex also hosts a lodge which provides both a café area and bait / tackle sales. There are match and pleasure lakes plus two carp “runs” waters and a pure specimen carp lake. Pegs on the carp lakes are larger than usual pegs and can take bivvies. Several pegs have their own private entrance with a gate that can be locked. The runs waters are proving to be very popular with good size carp regulary coming out to over 20lb. The specimen lake is stocked with a high head of carp over 20lb & 30lb with a current lake record of 39lb. There are car parks near to all the lakes so no walking long distances with all your gear is required. Day tickets are available for most lakes from the lodge with the exception of Snowdon & Llewellyn carp lakes which must be prebooked. All our day tickets are 7am – 7pm ( or dusk if earlier ) Our free associate membership for regular visitors allows anglers to book pegs in advance which is especially useful during busy periods. We also offer yearly associate-plus & syndicate memberships for the specimen hunters and session carp anglers.. While we realise that Commonwood Fishery is a new fishery which will take time to mature, so far all the work that has gone into making this fishery has had the angler in mind. We at Commonwood Fishery believe this is an ideal venue for experienced, competition, novice and junior anglers.
