Alwen is a reservoir near Cerrig-y-Drudion. There is regular stocking of rainbow trout and there are coarse fish present, notably perch. An any method fishery, Alwen is an ideal venue for beginners – as the plentiful stocks mean that even the novice has a good chance of landing a catch. The fishing is controlled by Welsh Water, tickets are available from the nearby llyn Brenig visitor centre. Fishing permits can now be booked online.
