Angling Coaching Wales – We Need You!
Thousands of people regularly go fishing across Wales, for a multitude of fish species. If you’re one of those people, we need you to share your passion and knowledge with others who are new to the sport, especially the next generation of anglers.
You may already be assisting in activities within an angling club, competitive angling, guiding/instruction or a community project, but will want to consider becoming a qualified and licensed angling coach.
We need you!
Welsh Salmon & Trout Angling Association WSTAA are looking to put together a group of anglers from Wales to take a course with The Angling Trust, for Level 1 and 2 angling coaching. Anglers of all disciplines are welcome, game, coarse and sea.
Letter from WSTAA
Hello all.
Last year we secured through Angling Trust a package of courses to train level one and two Angling Coaches. These courses were discounted provided we meet the minimum numbers to run the courses. We did this successfully. Due to demand, we have again secured the same courses at the same price to further develop angling coaching in Wales.
Normal price Discounted price
Level 1 £230 £145.80
Level 2 £345 £243.75
These courses are national recognised qualifications. The level one is for assistant coach and level two is Lead coach. To become a Lead coach, you must be a level one before commencing with level two. It is recommended that at least one Lead coach should be in place within a club or orgainsation to support assistant coaches who would be supervised by the Level 2. In addition, individual anglers might be interested in these qualifications if they want to work as guides.
Please note level 2 candidates will be required to have a DBS check (included in price) have been first aid trained and will have to attend an online safeguarding course (not included in course price). Annual fee also required
Contact me for further details or to book a place on these courses.
