The Bothy is a pretty stone cottage, with a modern comfortable farmhouse feel, built in 2002. Attached to the owners’ property, it is private, with its own fenced garden and is an ideal place for a peaceful holiday. Nestling in the Cothi Valley, the Bothy is set in a tranquil, rural landscape surrounded by farmland and woods. The owners’ sheep graze in the nearby fields, while ducks, geese and hens are to be found wandering on this smallholding. Across the lane and through a side gate, the path leads down to the beautiful River Cothi. You can fish this ¼ mile length – permit available upon request from April 1 – October 17. The county town of Carmarthen and pretty market town of Llandeilo, with all their amenities, are just 20 minutes drive. The nearest pubs are 4 miles away and shop/garage 6½ miles. The cottage is a great base for nature lovers, walkers, fishermen and mountain bikers. The National Botanic Garden of Wales and the stunning gardens of Aberglasney are 15 minutes away. There are many castles and glorious sandy beaches waiting for you to explore. The Bothy sleeps 5 in 2 bedrooms: 1 double and 1 double plus a single.
