New Quay has fishing from Dolau beach, just to the south of the Pier, which is mainly sandy, fishing onto a similar bed. Fish include conger, bass, mullet, huss, plaice, garfish, mackerel, whiting, dabs, dogfish. Dolau beach is next to the main car park. Newquay also has fishing opportunities from several beaches, a pier, a breakwater, a harbour and rock marks, which are available at the ends of some beaches, fishing onto similar ground as the relevant beach.
