Merthyr Tydfil Angling Association: Dolygaer Reservoir

Merthyr Tydfil Angling Association has fishing on Dolygaer Reservoir, also known as Pentwyn Reservoir.

Known as a mixed coarse fishery, this holds roach, rudd, perch, bream, tench, pike and carp. The carp run to 40lb, pike to 30lb and 100lb bags of bream are common.

There are also a few wild brown trout present, some of which grow to a large size. These are hardly ever fished for.

Coarse fishing, fly fishing, worming, and artificial spinner are allowed.

Tickets are available online through the club website, Bait Shack in Merthyr or newsagents Cefn Coed.
