Kim has been teaching beginner fly fishing courses, guided and coached fellow anglers of all levels, right through to coaching in all recognised methods and guiding international teams, having competed himself at the highest level at the World Fly Fishing Championships.

Kim Tribe has acted as a consultant for Fishing Visit Wales, a former marketing arm of the Welsh Tourist Board that was endorsed by the Environment Agency Wales and The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority.

He was one of only a handful of Orvis Pro-Guides in the United Kingdom at that time, and is now helping to build a new brand Alexa sports. He helped run the first Wild trout trust fishing course held in the UK in conjunction with Orvis. Kim Tribe has operated as the first full time professional trout and grayling guide in South and Mid Wales on the rivers Wye and Usk and tributaries, helping to introduce the Fishing Passport fishing scheme, now the largest collection of bookable waters in the United Kingdom.

He guides for sea trout (sewin) and occasionally Salmon in the rivers of South and West Wales. Also for Atlantic sea bass and mullet around the Gower Peninsula.

Over the years he has been fortunate enough to extensively explore the fishing in the British Isles and New Zealand. Also fishing in the US, Cuba, Bosnia, France, Sweden, Spain, England, Ireland and Scotland. Kim enjoys passing on his knowledge, hard won over many years to others and to see the pleasure they get from this challenging but very interesting sport, it’s a life long journey for all of constant learning that’s what makes it so fascinating.
