Update Autumn 2025: After the 2025 season Whitland Angling Club has decided to close due to a number of factors including an ageing committee, no younger people coming through, no one wanting to take on the responsibility of running the club and a lack of new membership. Whitland Anglers Association controls 5 miles of mainly double bank fishing on the Taf, stretching from the railway bridge above Pont Loerig railway crossing to Fforest Farm. Fishing is for salmon, sea trout and brown trout. Tickets are available in the station house pub, by the railway station. Safety Notice (Network Rail) Network Rail Safety team are aware many of our crossings are utilised by Anglers making their way to and from the River to go fishing. Please be careful when crossing the railway line and be sure to “ Stop, Look, Listen” before crossing. We wish you all a safe fishing trip when enjoying the outdoors!
