A consistently productive stretch of this famous river, the Usk Town Water consists of 2 miles of double bank fishing extending from Llanbadoc Church to the fields at Llancayo. With a number of pools, runs and glides throughout its length it is great for trout fishing. The river here mostly flows over gravel meaning that wading is easier than other parts of the river. Because of the close proximity to the town, there may be other river users, dog walkers etc. present on warm summer days, particularly on the section between the bridges but there is plenty of fishing up and downstream of the town. Half price evening tickets can be purchased between May and September, after 1pm on the day of fishing. Fishing is allowed from 5pm. Season rods are available, please call 01874 712074 for more information.
